Southern California Fires

For the past few days I have been asking around trying to find out if any of our colleagues have been affected by the fires raging in Southern California. I understand that up to yesterday there were a few SITE members and industry colleagues evacuated or on evacuation alert primarily in the San Diego area.

Watching it all on television, I just can’t imagine having to flee one’s home only to return to ashes. But this left me wondering; what would I pack or grab if I had to leave my home immediately with the likelihood that it might not be there when I return. Immediately I thought of my dog, passport, ipod, laptop and photo albums … not much else came to mind since all essential documents would be in our safety deposit box. How about you; what would you grab?
